Installation Requirements

Before the FASTPX25 print process can be installed and configured, the following
products must be installed and configured on your host system:

Spooler subsystem

X.25 Access Method (X25AM)
Note that because the network architecture is different between D-series and G-series
releases, the method used to configure the X25AM subsystem varies between D-
series systems and G- and H-series systems. This affects related system software
requirements.
For G- and H-series systems, X25AM processes and lines are created and started by
using SCF from the WAN subsystem. For additional information about the installation
and configuration of X25AM on G-series systems, including related system software
requirements, consult the X25AM Configuration and Management Manual.
For D-series systems, the System Generation (SYSGEN) program creates X25AM
lines, SCF starts, alters, and monitors X25AM lines, and the Dynamic System
Configuration (DSC) COUP program adds and starts X25AM devices. For additional
information about the installation and configuration of X25AM on D-series systems,
