Device Names

Spooler device names for Xerox printers consist of the I/O process name, the port
name, and an optional device-name qualifier as follows:
$lan.#port-name[.#qualifier]
where
$lan
is the TLAM or PAM I/O process name.
#port-name
is the port name.
#qualifier
is a optional qualifier that uniquely identifies the printer. If only one printer is
attached to the LAN then this qualifier can be omitted.
For example, two Xerox printers on one LAN might be configured as:
DEV $LAN1.#XEROX.P1 }
DEV $LAN1.#XEROX.P2
whereas a single printer on one LAN might be configured as:
DEV $LAN2.#XEROX
