proc-name DEV: device-name printer reset/power-on: reason
proc-name
is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.
device-name
is the device name of the printer.
reason
gives additional text description of the problem.
Cause. If reason indicates "SysUpTime decreased," this usually means the printer has
been powered off and on. If reason indicates "unexpected HPJetDirect READY status,"
this usually means that a timeout setting in the printer has been set to a value that is
too low, or that SPOOLCOM DEV RETRY has been set to too long a value.
Effect. Some or all of the job may print before this error occurs. The job is requeued
and reprinted from the beginning.
Recovery. Is usually automatic. If reason indicates "unexpected HPJetDirect READY
status," change the timeout setting in the printer by lengthening or disabling it, and/or
decrease the SPOOLCOM DEV RETRY setting.

Fastptcp
proc-name
is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.
device-name
is the device name of the printer.
Cause. The SPOOLCOM DEV configurations specified DEVTYPE LU3.
Effect. The device is placed offline and the job is requeued. No printing occurs.
Recovery. Change DEVTYPE to a legal setting (blank is commonly used) with the
SPOOLCOM DEV command and restart the device.
