2408 FCoE Converged Network Switch zoning
DCFM 10.1.4 only supports discovery for the 2408 FCoE Converged Network Switches. To set up
zoning for the CEE ports, perform the following steps:
1.
On the CEE fabric, set the Connected End Devices option to Show All.
2.
Set the Port Display option to Occupied Product Ports.
3.
In the Zoning dialog box, move the FCoE device ports or FCoE devices from the Potential Members
panel to the Zones panel.
Unable to launch Element Manager for M-EOS switches
After migrating from EFCM to DCFM, using the lPv4 address to discover M-EOS switches in dual
mode prohibits the use of management tools. This is because DCFM uses lPv6 addresses as the
preferred IP mechanism. As a workaround, do one of the following:
•
Before migrating to DCFM, disable dual mode on the M-EOS switches.
•
After migrating to DCFM, delete and then rediscover the fabric.
NOTE:
Be sure to back up the zone information, historical performance data (if applicable), and names
before deleting the fabric, and then import the information after the discovery is complete.
Encryption configuration has limited support
The current commit limitation of a total of 24 add, update, and remove LUN transactions can cause
delays in registering changes for LUN provisioning. To avoid this situation, HP recommends that you
commit each transaction before making additional changes.

Be sure to install the DCFM application on a dedicated machine that is not running any other server
applications, such as another database server.
