proc-name DEV: device-name Cannot find SHADOW entry in
FASTCNFG file
proc-name
is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
Cause. Bit 1 (%40000) was specified for the Spooler DEV PARM attribute, but the
FASTCNFG or FASTKCON DEVICE entry did not specify a SHADOW attribute.
Effect. Bit 1 is ignored, and no shadow tracing is performed.
Recovery. To enable shadow tracing, add a SHADOW attribute to the FASTCNFG or
FASTKCON file. To eliminate this message, delete the value of bit 1 (%40000) from the
Spooler DEV PARM attribute value.

is the file-system error. See the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual
for explanations of file-system errors.
file-name
is the shadow trace file name.
Cause. The specified shadow trace file cannot be opened.
Effect. Shadow tracing is not performed.
Recovery. Purge the shadow trace file and ensure that Safeguard permits access to
the shadow file.
