file-err
is the file-system error returned from FILE_OPEN_. See the Guardian Procedure
Errors and Messages Manual for explanations of file-system errors.
Cause. The FASTPTCP process could not open the Spooler Collector data file to read
the print job data.
Effect. The device is placed offline.
Recovery. Check the Spooler configuration. If the error persists, contact your service
provider as described in
512

Comm err - Possible duplicate pages starting at pppp
proc-num
is the process number (CPU, PIN) of the process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
job-num
is the job number.
pppp
is the page number of the first possible duplicate page.
Cause. The Spooler supervisor instructed the FASTP network print process to resume
printing on a device after an earlier communications error.
Effect. Because the nature of the earlier error is such that data might have been lost,
the FASTP network print process attempts to reprint the job from a point in the job that
it knows printed correctly. This message warns the operator that duplicate pages might
be produced as a result.
Recovery. Informational message only; no corrective action is needed.
