proc-num DEV: device-name Error: file-error when attempting
to resizesegment for buffer pool
proc-num
is the process number (CPU, PIN) of the process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
file-error
is the file-system error returned by the RESIZESEGMENT procedure. See the
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for explanations of file-system
errors.
Cause. When attempting to increase the buffer pool for a new device, the FASTP
network print process encountered an unexpected error from the Guardian
RESIZESEGMENT procedure. When a FASTP network print process runs out of buffer
space in its extended segment, it attempts to increase this segment 65536 bytes at a
time by using the RESIZESEGMENT procedure. This error indicates the FASTP
network print process requires additional swap file space.
Effect. The device is placed offline.
Recovery. Try reducing the number of devices configured for the FASTP network print
process (using the Spoolcom DEV command). If the error persists, contact your service
provider as described in
