FASTPTCP
SHUTDOWNTO = n
specifies the time (in 10 millisecond units) that FASTPTCP should wait for a
session shutdown to complete. Values from 100 (1 second) to 8640000 (24 hours)
are allowed; the default value is 60000 (10 minutes).
WAITTIME = n
Only used when ONLINEMODE=BOTH/EOJ. For short print jobs, the printer
SNMP status does not have time to change from "IDLE" to "PRINTING".
FASTPTCP could check the status at the end of the job and see a misleading
value of "IDLE". WAITTIME ensures that a minimum amount of time (in units of 10
milliseconds) elapses from the start of printing before checking the ending SNMP
status. The default of 600 (6 seconds) is adequate for all versions of Printronix and
Microplex firmware. For 100mb NICS running firmware 361538 or later, WAITTIME
150 (1.5 seconds) is adequate.

Printer Daemons (LPDs)
Devices connected to Line Printer Daemons (LPDs) are typically spoolers running on
UNIX systems that conform to RFC 1179. FASTPTCP establishes a connection and
spools the job to the LPD spooler; no direct communication with the printer itself is
involved.
Configuring FASTPTCP for LPDs using RFC 1179 can be a complex task. The RFC
defines many potential attributes, and because implementations can differ, no single
FASTCNFG template can satisfy all conditions.
