proc-name DEV: device-name Cannot send to Supervisor for
Status, Err: file-err on supervisor-name
proc-name
is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
file-err
is the file-system error returned. See the Guardian Procedure Errors and
Messages Manual for explanations of file-system errors.
supervisor-name
is the name of the Spooler supervisor process.
Cause. The FASTPTCP process attempted to send a message to the Spooler
supervisor process to obtain information but was unable to do so for the reason
indicated. For example, the FASTPTCP process sends messages to the Spooler
supervisor to obtain details about certain NetBatch jobs, or when jobs are routed to a
Spooler collector process.
Effect. The FASTPTCP process attempts to complete printing without this information.
Recovery. Verify that the Spooler is properly configured and is running. If the error
persists, contact your service provider as described in
Problems on page 8-1.
