• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Proceed to the section corresponding to the component to be installed:
• "M.2 assembly" on page 244
• "PCIe assembly" on page 246
Install the M.2 assembly
Procedure
Step 1. Install an M.2 drive to the M.2 adapter.
a. Locate the slot to install the M.2 drive.
