Changing an analyzer ion gauge

To prepare for removing the ion gauge
1.
In the MassLynx Tune window, click Vacuum > Control.
2.
In the Vacuum Control dialog box, select Analyser 1 or Analyser 2, as
appropriate for the analyzer from which the ion gauge is to be removed.
3.
Clear Analyser. (The status message changes from Operational to
Cooling – off.
Warning:
until at least 1 hour after performing

Wait until the status message changes to "Cold – off", about 1 hour.
5.
If applicable, remove one of the covers and check that the diffusion pump
bodies are only warm.
6.
If applicable, close the Speedivalve on top of the analyzer fore pump.
7.
Power-off the analyzer fore pump, using the switch on the pump.
To remove the ion gauge
Warning:

Disconnect the electrical plug from the ion gauge.
2.
Remove the vacuum clamp from the flange.
