4-4 Acquiring data
Description
The time between one scan's end and the next scan's
start, in seconds. No data are stored in this period.
This value is typically 10% of Scan Time.
Tip:
Enter the required mass appropriate to the current
acquisition function:
• For a B/E Scan, the precursor mass.

• For a B /E Scan, the product mass.
• For a CNL Scan, the loss mass.

Specify a pre-acquisition calibration file name (of
type *.cal, or *.scl) and path in the text box, or click
Browse.
This file is used to calibrate the scan of ESA1

and ESA2 performed by the current Acquisition
Function scan. This file must be created on standard
Magnet Scan data, over exactly the same magnet
mass range and scan time as the scan.
