Tuning the instrument

This chapter describes how to manually tune the instrument (that is,
adjust the instrument's parameters to achieve maximum performance)
for both low and high resolution, and gives an example of using the
AutoTune facility.

Low resolution tuning
The purpose of low resolution tuning is to initially tune the instrument so that
it can produce well-shaped mass peaks having a resolution ≥ 1000.
The theoretical shape of a perfect peak is an isosceles triangle; the

To open the default instrument parameter file
1.
In the MassLynx Tune window, click

(Default.ipr).
