Open the pump valve, to remove any remaining sample from between
the reference inlet valve and the instrument's source.
Reference sample will remain in the injection port.
Installing the GC column
Warning:
cotton gloves when handling the column. Doing so also prevents
finger-grease from contaminating the column.
Warning:
You can install the GC column with the source under vacuum or vented.

To install the GC column
1.
On the Tune window's Vacuum tab, clear the Analyser check box.
2.
Remove the blanking nut from the interface GC line.
3.
Connect the GC transfer line to the bracket inside the GC oven.
4.
Fit one end of the column into the GC injector.

Retract the inner source handle and rotate it so that its guide slot is not
aligned with the guide pin.

6.
Insert the other end of the GC column through the GC interface transfer
line until the end of the column is approximately 4 mm from the center
line of the source.
To avoid contamination from samples, always wear lint-free
