4. Fit the focus plate over the ceramic rods.
5. Fit the 2-mm metal spacers to the left-hand side ceramic rods.
6. Fit the first Y half-plate to the left-hand side ceramic rods.
7. Fit the 6-mm metal spacers to the left-hand side ceramic rods.
8. Fit the second Y half-plate to the left-hand side ceramic rods.
9. Fit the 6-mm metal spacers to the left-hand side ceramic rods.
10. Fit the third Y half-plate to the left-hand side ceramic rods.
11. Fit three 2-mm ceramic spacers to each left-hand side ceramic rod.
12. Repeat the above procedure for the right-hand side ceramic rods.
13. Fit the Focus 1 plate to the ceramic rods.
14. Fit a 12-mm ceramic spacer to each of the ceramic rods.
15. Fit the shield to each ceramic rod.

To fit the ion chamber
1. Fit the ion chamber to the outer source assembly.
2. Fit the 14-mm metal spacer to each of the bottom ceramic rods.
3. Fit the 12-mm ceramic spacer to each of the top ceramic rods.
To fit the contact support plate
1. Fit the contact support plate to the outer source assembly.
2. Fit the 2-mm ceramic spacer to each of the top ceramic rods.
3. Fit the 10-mm ceramic spacer to each ceramic rod.
Caution:
that no washers fall onto the ion source magnets.
4. Fit the wavy washers to the ceramic rods. The number of wavy washers
fitted to each ceramic rod must be the same as when they were removed
in step 1
