16.3.9. Replacing Circuit Breakers

Replacing Circuit Breakers

Procedure is the same for both AC Input Circuit Breaker (CB1) and DC Output
Circuit Breaker (CB2).
Preparation:
Preparation:
• Shut down and lock out all power to ATevo.
• Remove safety shield.
• Check with a voltmeter before proceeding.
• Remove wires on both sides of breaker – noting polarity.
For Standard kAIC Breakers:
For Standard kAIC Breakers:
• Remove (4) screws on front of breaker bracket and remove breaker.
• Place new breaker in same orientation and replace (4) mounting screws.
• Reconnect wires with same polarity as removed breaker.
For Medium kAIC or High kAIC Breakers:
For Medium kAIC or High kAIC Breakers:
• These breakers are mounted to a breaker bracket via (2) screws and nuts. The screws are
along centerline of breaker between the lugs on the left and right side of the breaker. The
nuts are on the back of the breaker bracket.
• Remove nuts from back of breaker bracket and pull breaker toward you, off of breaker
bracket.
• Remove screws from breaker and insert them into new breaker.
• Position new breaker onto breaker bracket and install nuts on back of breaker bracket.
• Reconnect wires with same polarity as removed breaker.
• Replace safety shield, close door and restart ATevo.

• Shut down and lock out all power to ATevo.
• Allow internal voltages and heat to dissipate.
• Remove safety shield.
• Disconnect battery from DC Output Circuit Breaker (CB2+/-).
