■Restrictions
Turning OFF the power of the servo amplifier while servo parameters are being changed to the recommended setting may
corrupt the servo parameters. Turn OFF the power of the servo amplifier after checking that the Motion module is in one of the
following two statuses.
• The error "Servo parameter invalid" (error code: 1DC8H) has occurred.
• "[Md.190] Controller current value restoration complete status" is "1: Complete INC restoration" or "2: Complete ABS restoration".

• The transient communication (SLMP) is used for reading and writing servo parameters. At writing, servo
parameters are saved by using the Store parameters request. For details of the Store parameters request,
refer to the manual of the servo amplifier.
• When the slave station parameter automatic setting is used, setting the servo parameter "Parameter
automatic backup refresh period (PN20)"
(automatic update when parameters are updated on the slave station side)". Parameters are backed up
when there is a difference between the parameters distributed last time and the current parameters at the
set time intervals after the power-on. To apply the parameters after the change to the project, open the
servo parameter setting screen again, read parameters directly from the servo amplifier with "Read", and
apply the servo parameters to the project.
• Timing to read and check the servo parameters of the Motion module are as follows according to the slave
station parameter automatic setting.
When slave station parameter automatic setting is set to "Enabled": After servo parameters are transferred
from the CPU module
When slave station parameter automatic setting is set to "Disabled": At the start of communication with the
