INTER-MODULE SYNCHRONIZATION
FUNCTION
"Inter-module synchronization function" can synchronize the control timing among multiple modules on the same base.
For the synchronous communication of the CC-Link IE TSN Network, refer to "FUNCTIONS" in Part 2 of the following manual.

Control details
The execution cycle of the interrupt program for the CPU module and the operation cycle of the Motion module can be
synchronized. Refresh in synchronization with the operation cycle can be performed between some buffer memory
*1
addresses
and the devices and labels of the CPU module.
The inter-module synchronization cycle becomes the synchronous communication cycle of the CC-Link IE TSN Network.

Precautions during control
• The following shows the synchronization cycles that can be set when the inter-module synchronization of the Motion
module is performed. 0.25 ms, 0.50 ms, 1.00 ms, 2.00 ms, 4.00 ms
• When a synchronization cycle other than the above is set, the error "Inter-module synchronization cycle unsupported"
(error code: 3017H) or "Inter-module synchronization cycle mismatch" (error code: 3600H) will occur.
• Make sure that the synchronization cycle matches the operation cycle of the Motion module. When the cycles are
mismatched, the error "Inter-module synchronization cycle mismatch" (error code: 3600H) will occur. For details of the
error, refer to PART 3 "COMMON TO ALL MODES" in the following manual.

• The inter-module synchronization is supported by the baseSystem version 1.20 or later. If a Motion module with the version
earlier than the above is set as a target module of the inter-module synchronization, "Module major error" will occur in the
CPU module.
• When using the inter-module synchronization, execute the EI instruction in the CPU module to enable the inter-module
synchronization interrupt (I44) program.
