Authentication and Encryption Modes

The AP supports the following authentication and encryption modes:
WEP
Encryption: The original encryption technique specified by the IEEE 802.11
standard.
802.1x
Authentication: An IEEE standard for client authentication.
Wi-Fi Protected Access
security over WEP.
Description
Choose between Passthru and Block. This
determines how the stations identified in the
MAC Access Control Table are filtered.
Click Add to create a new entry. Click Edit to
change an existing entry. Each entry contains
the following field:
(WPA): A new standard that provides improved encryption
Security Configuration
If set to Passthru, only the addresses
l
listed in the Control Table will pass
through the bridge.
If set to Block, the bridge will block
l
traffic to or from the addresses listed in
the Control Table.
MAC Address: Enter the wireless
l
client's MAC address.
Comment: Enter an optional comment
l
such as the client's name.
Status: The entry is enabled
l
automatically when saved (so the
Status field is only visible when editing
an entry). You can also disable or
delete entries by changing this field's
value.
