WARNING:
When performing a vascular line placement or peripheral nerve
block procedure, FUJIFILM SonoSite recommends using a single-use
sterile gel and a single-use sterile transducer sheath to prevent
contamination.
Some transducer sheaths contain natural rubber latex and talc, which can
cause allergic reactions in some individuals. FUJIFILM SonoSite
recommends that you identify your latex and talc-sensitive patients and be
prepared to treat allergic reactions promptly.
Use market-cleared, sterile transducer sheaths and sterile coupling gel. Do
not apply the transducer sheath and coupling gel until you are ready to
perform the procedure. After use, remove and discard the single-use sheath,
and clean and disinfect the transducer using a FUJIFILM SonoSite
recommended high-level disinfectant. See
page 316.
WARNING:
Color Doppler Mode images can be used as an adjunctive
method, not as a screening tool.
WARNING:
To prevent injury or misdiagnosis, do not use this system for
Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS) or in vitro Fertilization
(IVF). The system has not been validated to be proven effective for these two
uses.
WARNING:
To avoid injury to the patient, never perform an Ophthalmic
exam with the Vevo MD Imaging System. The FDA has established lower
acoustic energy limits for ophthalmic use, and the Vevo MD Imaging
System may exceed these limits.
