Thermal Index
The thermal index (TI) is the ratio of power used, to that required to produce a
temperature increase of 1°C.
The setting is used for the current session only, so when the exam is ended or another
transducer or exam type is selected, the exam type default setting is used.
Note:
When saving an image, the current thermal indices will be saved and will not
be editable in review.
There are three sub-indices:
TIS: Thermal index in soft tissue
l
TIB: Thermal index in bone
l
TIC: Thermal index in the cranium
