CU Board Installation
To install CU board:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Inspect and verify that chassis is clear of
debris.
3. Make sure mating surface (underside of heat
sink) is clean. While handling CU board by
its edges, position board in chassis and
securely seat board against chassis.
4. Thread (14) M3

through CU board into chassis. See
Figure 11‐5.

5. Using T‐10 6‐lobe wrench, drive each screw
and torque to 1.6 N‐m.
6. Connect balance sensor assembly harness
and CU harness to socket on CU board. See
Figure 11‐6.

CU harnesses are different lengths. Short CU
harness connects to the A side of CU board
(rear) and long CU harness connects to B side of
CU board (front).

7. Connect (2) CU motor harnesses to motors
(one per motor). Rotate each harness as you
insert connector so that smaller gauge wires
are beneath larger gauge wires. Make sure
clip locks over mating feature on motor
connector. See Figure 11‐7.

8. Locate abrasion protection sleeves and
position so wires are protected as they pass
through notches in chassis. See Figure 11‐8.
