User Interface Console (UIC) Removal and Installation
All electronic components in the Segway PT are
redundant (A and B) for safety. The A and B
connectors are differently sized to ensure
proper connection when installing. The UIC
contains the console radio and charge port
power supply.
If no Hi-Pot and Ground Bond Tester is available,
the removal and installation of the UIC should
not be performed as the consequence of not
being able to test could lead to serious injury,
death, and/or damage to the Segway PT.
When to Replace
Replace the UIC when directed to do so by a
Segway Service Representative.
The console radio is electronically bound to the
other electronics inside the power base and the
Wireless InfoKey controller. Replacement of the
UIC assumes interaction with G2SART.
To remove UIC:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Remove console cover (page 9‐4).
3. Use T‐20 6‐lobe wrench to remove (4)
fasteners holding UIC to console housing.
