Hub Adapter Removal and Installation, x2/x2 Turf

To remove hub adapter:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Remove tire/wheel assembly:
Model x2, page 4‐4

Model x2 Turf, page 4‐5

NOTE: This step is not required if you are
removing entire wheel assembly from
gearbox.

3. Using 13mm hex wrench, remove (3)
fasteners attaching hub adapter to wheel.
4. Lift off hub adapter.

To install hub adapter:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Inspect mounting surface; use alcohol wipes
to clean off all debris.
3. Align three center holes in hub adapter or
entire wheel assembly with lugs on gearbox.
Seat hub adapter over lugs against gearbox
flange. See Figure 4‐4.
4. Thread (3) 13mm wheel nuts (20158‐00001)
through holes in hub adapter onto lugs.
5. Using 13mm torque wrench, tighten to
30 N‐m.
Tighten only to the prescribed torque.
6. Perform post‐service tests (page A‐1).
