Tire/Wheel Assembly Removal and Installation, x2 only

To remove tire/wheel assembly:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Support unit or turn unit on its side.
3. If removing tire/wheel assembly and hub
adapter, proceed to page 4‐6.
4. Use 8mm hex wrench to remove (4)
fasteners. See Figure 4‐2.

5. Lift off wheel trim.
6. Loosen tire/wheel assembly by tapping side
of wheel with plastic or rubber mallet.
7. Lift off tire/wheel assembly.

To install tire/wheel assembly:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Inspect wheel mounting surfaces; use
alcohol wipes to clean off all debris.
3. Place wheel over hub adapter with valve
stem facing outward; align mounting holes.
4. Place wheel trim on wheel; align mounting
holes. See Figure 4‐2.
5. Thread (4) 8mm fasteners (20991‐00001)
through trim and wheel and into hub
adapter.
6. While holding tire to keep from rotating, use
8mm torque wrench to tighten to 30 N‐m.
Tighten only to the prescribed torque.
7. Perform post‐service tests (page A‐1).
