Cover motor cavity to prevent contamination.
Using a vacuum cleaner or similar tool, remove
any foreign material from motor cavity prior to
re-installation.

5. Ensure gasket is present (see "When to
Replace" on page 8‐3) and oriented properly
in groove of gearbox spacer gasket. See
Figure 8‐5.

6. Align couplings and gearbox housing roll
pins with chassis. (Roll pin on right not
pictured.) See Figure 8‐6.

visible), motor is still in place during this
procedure.

7. Check to ensure both gaskets are in good
condition and properly located.
8. Inspect roll pins to ensure they are in place
on the chassis and free of residue.
9. Using rubber mallet, gently tap gearbox
outer cover at locations indicated by arrows
in Figure 8‐7 to seat gearbox against chassis
until mating surfaces are flush. Alternate
strike points from side to side for even seat.
DO NOT STRIKE THE FLANGE OR GEARBOX!
