The CU harness connectors are different sizes to
facilitate attachment to correct harness.
8. Thread (4) SHCS, M4
screws (20203‐00002) through top of UIC
into console housing. Refer to (B) in
Figure
9‐9.
9. Using a T‐20 6‐lobe wrench, drive each
screw and torque to 1.8 N‐m.
10. Inspect the gasket at inside of charge port
(Figure
9‐9) to ensure it is not damaged. If
damaged, replace console housing.
11. Thread (2) SHCS, M3
hex screws (20477‐00001) through UIC into
rear of console housing. Inspect for gasket at
screw head to shank. If damaged or missing,
replace fastener. See Figure
Damaged gasket could lead to ingress, shock
hazard, or both.
12. Using 2.5mm hex wrench, drive each screw
and torque to 0.7 N‐m.
When properly torqued, these fasteners seal gap
between charge port gasket and console
housing.
.
13. Reinstall EMI shield and antenna, if
necessary (page 9‐6).
14. Reinstall console cover (page 9‐4).
15. Perform post‐service tests (page A‐1).

electrocution. If Hi-Pot and
Ground Bond test equipment is
not available, these components should not be
replaced.
Hi‐Pot and Ground Bond tests must be
performed after installation of UIC. For more
information, see Segway Hi‐Pot Tester document
21172‐00001, Section 5.
1. Verify testers' parameter settings are
configured correctly.
2. Connect line cord (Internal Electric
Technical commission (IEC) cable from
tester) to device under test (DUT) and attach
two alligator‐clip leads to each side of
chassis.
3. Using precautions for high voltage, remove
hands from all leads. Move back, away from
the DUT. Start test. Tests complete in this
order: Hi‐Pot Ground Continuity, Hi‐Pot,
and Ground Bond.
4. Testers should indicate a PASS condition. A
continuous alarm tone indicates a FAIL
condition. Press red STOP button on testers.
If both tests pass, stamp "HP OK" on
chassis.
5. Disconnect line cord and alligator‐clip leads
from DUT.
