EMI Filter Removal and Installation
When to Replace
Replace the electromagnetic interference (EMI)
filter when directed to do so by the Segway PT i2,
x2 Diagnostics Guide, or as advised by a Segway
Service Representative.
To remove EMI filter:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Remove console cover and set aside
(page 9‐4).
3. Lift off UIC and place in ESD bag or on clean
ESD work surface (page 9‐9).
4. Disconnect (2) steering sensor harness
connectors at top of EMI filter. Keep
retention putty for reuse during installation.
While pressing connector locking tabs,
gently remove connectors to disconnect. Do
not strain harnesses. See Figure 9‐13.
