Dial-in Capability
MPS Server B is configured for a modem on
PPP (TCP/IP). With this capability, multiple networked applications can run across the PPP link
simultaneously. PPP also requires two IP addresses to be registered, one to the serial port on the
server, and one to be assigned to the client dialing into the server. These IP addresses are allocated
on the synchronization network.
The remote dial-in serial port will be configured as follows:
