Operating modes of SiFC43PA for totalizer or dosing value
The block can be operated using the following modes:
● Local mode
● Automatic mode
● Manual mode
● Out of service
The general descriptions of the operating modes are identical for SiFC43PA and the APL; refer
to the online help for the standard APL blocks for information on them.
The next section provides additional block-specific information relating to the general
descriptions.
"Local mode"
"Local mode" supports the transfer of the following direction to the totalizer:
● "Positive and Negative (Balanced)" (positive edge BalPV2/PV3/PV4Local)
● "Positive" (positive edge PosPV2/PV3/PV4Local)
● "Negative" (positive edge NegPV2/PV3/PV4Local)
"Local mode" supports the transfer of the following command to the totalizer:

● "Totalize" (positive edge TotalizePV2/PV3/PV4Local)
If you set the block to "Local mode", the control is only influenced by the "local" signals of the
totalizers (input parameters BalPV2/PV3/PV4Local = 1, PosPV2/PV3/PV4Local = 1,
NegPV2/PV3/PV4Local = 1 and HoldPV2/PV3/PV4Local = 1).
"Local mode" supports the transfer of the following commands to the dosing unit:
● "Start" (positive edge DSrtLocal)
● "Continue" (DContLocal = 1)
● "Pause" (DPauseLocal = 1)
● "Stop" (DStpLocal = 1)
Note
Unlike the general description, only the values 0, 1 and 3 can be set at the LocalSetting
parameter. Tracking in "local" mode is not possible with SiFC43PA.
