After Replacement, Configure The Control Unit - Skoda Rapid NH 2014 Workshop Manual

– Unlock the locking mechanism from the plug -1- starting from
the footwell on the front passenger side.
– Disconnect plug -1- from control unit.
– Release nuts -1- (9 Nm).
Note
To provide a better overview, the adjoining components are only
partially shown in the illustration.
– Take the control unit -2- out of the vehicle.
Installing
– The installation occurs in reverse order.
– Switch on ignition.
WARNING
Make sure no person is present in the vehicle.
– Connect the vehicle battery ⇒ Electrical System; Rep. gr. 27 ;
disconnect and connect the battery .
– If the control unit has been replaced, it must be coded again
⇒ "3.8 After replacement, configure the control unit",
page 229 .

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Vehicle diagnosis, measurement and information system -
VAS- with corresponding diagnostic cable ⇒ Vehicle diagnos‐
tic tester.
♦ Diagnostic cable .
After replacing the control unit for the airbag and carrying out the
automatic test sequence using the ODIS program in the tab "Test
plan", select the suggested test "Code control unit for airbag" (fol‐
low the in-test instructions) or select the following procedure:
– In the " Test plan " tab, press " Select self-test ".
– Select "Body".
– Select "Assembly work on the body".
– Select "01 - Self-diagnosable systems".
– "Select Airbag UDS".
– Select "function- airbag".
