– Remove plug -1- and pull out from head airbag unit -2-
-arrow-.
– Remove the screw -3- from the head airbag.
– First unhook the head airbag -1- at the front from the body
-arrow B- and push out towards the rear.
– Unhook the rear head airbag from the body -arrow A- and re‐
move.
Installing
WARNING
♦ Observe the safety instructions for pyrotechnic compo‐
nents
⇒ "3.3 Observe the general safety instructions for working
on airbag, belt tensioner and battery separation units (py‐
rotechnical components)", page 225
♦ Observe assembly sequence.
♦ Prior to the handling of pyrotechnical components (for ex‐
ample, disconnecting the electrical plug connection) the
person who carries out this operation must "discharge
himself electrostatically". For this purpose, briefly touch
the door lock, for example.
– First suspend the head airbag -1- at the rear on the body
-arrow A- and push towards the front.
– Attach to the body at the front -arrow B-.
