Mount side rail attachments
– Insert the adapters into the holes after removing blind plugs
- 2 and 3 -.
– Wash the surfaces with a mild detergent solution and rinse
with clean water.
– Clean surface with Terostat 8550 cleaner and degrease, then
allow to ventilate (10 minutes).
– Check the position of the end piece and check whether the
rear bore on the end piece is aligned with the bore of the plastic
wheel housing rear end, and that the other four holes are
aligned with the adapter holes.
– Carefully ark the designated area of the endpiece with sand‐
paper (grain size 80).
– Clean surface with Terostat 8550 cleaner and degrease, then
allow to ventilate (10 minutes).
Note
The adhesive surface must be completely free of grease, lacquer
residue and primer.
– Apply activator Betaprime 5600-1 to the cleaned surfaces and
allow to ventilate (10 minutes).
– Spray the nozzle of the adhesive cement so that the inner di‐
ameter is approx. 8 mm.
– Apply adhesive to all surfaces that come into contact with the
side rail.
– With a second mechanic, place the lower side of the end piece
onto the adapter mounting holes.
– Do not press the upper edge yet.
– Attach the middle screws to the adapter (do not tighten), press
the attachment on the side rail, install the screw on the rear of
the extension and then install the screws on the outside of the
adapter.
– Do not displace the side rail end piece since the adhesive can
flow over the edges of the end piece.
– Tighten the screws to 2.5 Nm (adapter connections) and the
rear screw (rear wheel hub connection) to 1.5 Nm.
