Removing
– Switch off the ignition
and all electrical compo‐
nents.
– Unclip the trim panel for
the shift lever ⇒ Gear‐
box; Rep. gr. 34 .
– Remove armrest (de‐
pending upon vehicle
equipment)

– Remove cap (Pos. 6).
– Remove screws (Pos.
2).
– Remove=ing handle for
handbrake lever ⇒
braking systems; Rep.
gr. 46 ; Handbrake;

– Apply handbrake fully.
– Unclip the cap on the handbrake (Pos. 3).
– Press console approx. 30 mm in direction of engine - arrow A - and unclip from the holders for the dash
panel.
– Swivel out console in -direction of arrow B-.
– Disconnect the plug connection of the cigarette lighter (power socket) ⇒ Electrical System - General
notes; Rep. gr. 96 .
– Remove the trim panel from the vehicle.
Installing
– The installation occurs in reverse order.
