Installing
Note
The ambient temperature must be above 18°C during the gluing
procedure of the spoiler!
– Thoroughly clean the adhesive surfaces e.g. with cleaning
solution D 009 401 04.
– Apply glass/paint primer D 181 650 A1 to the adhesive surfa‐
ces of the spoiler and let them dry off.
– Apply glue sealing material D 172 090 A2 into the guiding
groove in the spoiler.
– Stick on the spoiler within 15 minutes after applying the glue
sealing material!
– Partially unglue the protective foil from the adhesive tape on
the edges.
– Position the spoiler evenly onto the tailgate.
– Maintain an even gap.
– Remove the protective foil from the adhesive tape.
– Press the spoiler evenly onto the tailgate.
– Secure spoiler against moving with adhesive tape.
Note
The glue sealing material must dry for at least 2 hours. Do not

drive the vehicle in this time.
Do not drive through the carwash within 24 hours of gluing on

the spoiler.
