minimum of five hours or preferably overnight (even if the charger indicates
the battery is 'full').
As described in Chapter 2, the Power Module is a 'smart' battery that reports
the current level of charge and other operational information. To calibrate the
reporting capability so that it provides an accurate reading of battery level, the
Power Module must be periodically conditioned. The Power Module is
conditioned at the factory so it is not necessary to perform any initial
conditioning. Conditioning should be performed once a month or after the
battery has been stored for long periods of time without being connected to
the charger. Verify that the battery is fully charged by pressing the button on
the back side of the Power Module. The four LEDs should light up green.

Step 2: Attach the Power Module to the GPS Receiver Module
As you are facing the front panel of the GPS Receiver Module, the Power
Module attaches to the right-hand side. Attaching the Power Module does not
require any cables. To attach the module, insert the small ledge of the Power
Module into the rear of the housing first as shown in Figure 3.2. This will
correctly align the module. Using the ledge like a hinge, swing the module
