The radio is generally attached to the tripod. On the radio is a built-in tripod
mounting bracket. Locate the mounting flange at the top portion of one of the
tripod legs and hook the radio in place as shown in Figure 3.10.

It is important that the radio antenna be connected to the radio prior to applying
power to the radio. Failing to do so may result in damage to the radio.

GPS Receiver - Radio

This section only applies if you are using a radio as your data link. If you are using a
cellular modem, skip this section.
In an RTK system using radios, data must be passed from the GPS base receiver to
the transmitter for broadcast to RTK rover systems configured to receive the base
transmissions. To pass the data from the GPS receiver to the radio transmitter they
must be connected through a data cable. Depending on the type of radio used, this
