SD Memory Card
All data recording in the Z-Max is done on an SD (Secure Digital) memory card
(Figure 2.6). The SD memory card is a highly-sophisticated memory device about the
size of a postage stamp. The SD card slot is located inside the small panel door on
the front panel of the receiver (Figure 2.5). The SD card is used to record data and
load new receiver firmware. The receiver comes with a 64 MB SD card as standard,
but optionally, SD cards with larger capacities are available. Weighing less than two
grams, the SD card offers a powerful combination of small size, high storage capacity,
and fast data transfer.
It is important to power off the receiver using the Power key on the Front Panel before
removing the SD card.
