Attach Power Module
The Power Module connects to the left-hand side of the GPS Receiver Mod-
ule. Make sure that the module is secure, and the latch is completely closed
Mount the System to the Pole
Now that the Antenna, Communication and Power Modules are all connected
to the GPS Receiver Module, the system is ready to be mounted on the pole
Backpack Mounted Rover System
Attach Communication Module
Attach the Communication Module containing the GSM modem and/or UHF
radio to the right-hand side of the GPS Receiver Module.
Attach Power Module
The Power Module connects to the left-hand side of the GPS Receiver Mod-
ule. Make sure that the module is well seated, and the latch is completely
closed
Mount the GPS Receiver Module to the Backpack
Now that the Communication and Power Modules are connected, the GPS
Receiver Module can be mounted to the backpack. Make sure the receiver is
securely mounted to the backpack.
Attach Range Pole RF Adapter Module
Attach the Range Pole RF Adapter Module directly to the survey pole. The
Pole RF Adapter screws onto the survey pole and provides an interface for
the GPS/UHF cable coming from the backpack. The RF Pole Adapter also
provides a receptacle for the UHF Antenna Module.
Attach UHF Antenna Module or Pole Adapter Module
Connect the UHF Antenna Module directly to the top of the Range Pole RF
Adapter. If using the GSM modem as your data link, connect the Pole Adapter
Module to the Range Pole RF Adapter.
Attach GPS Antenna Module
Attach the GPS Antenna Module to the UHF Antenna Module. If using the
GSM modem as your data link, attach the GPS Antenna Module to the Pole
Adapter Module. Make sure that the connection is secure.
