Serial Ports
The rear panel of the GPS Receiver Module has two external serial connectors –
Serial A and Serial B. Serial A is an RS-232-only port. Port B can be configured at the
factory to have either RS-232 or RS-422 levels. Serial A shares the internal logical
port A with the USB port. Two devices cannot share this port at the same time. Figure
A.2 shows the pin layout for Serial A and Serial B. Table A.2 and Table A.3 show the
pinout descriptions. Note that the pinout descriptions will be depend on if the port is
configured as an RS-232 or RS-422.
