This section covers downloading data from the receiver only. If the handheld data
collector is used during RTK operations, vector and solution files are stored in the
data collector. Procedures for downloading data from the data collector are found in
Chapter 4 - Operations of the Operation and Applications section in this manual and
in the GNSS Studio software manual.
There are several ways to download data from the SD memory card to the PC. This
section will cover downloading data directly from the SD card. This process will use
the Download utility of the GNSS Studio software suite. For other methods of
downloading data from the receiver, see Chapter 4 - Operations of the Operation and
Reference section in this manual.
Downloading Directly From the SD MemoryCard
Downloading directly from the SD memory card is the fastest way to download
data, since the data does not need to be transferred from the receiver to the PC.
To use this method, an SD card reader must be connected to the PC.
To download data directly from the SD card:
1. Manually move the SD card from the SD card slot in the receiver to the SD
card reader in the PC.
2. From the PC, run GNSS Studio software.
3. If a project has not already been created, create a project. This project should
be open.
4. From the Project menu, select 'Download Data from External Device'.
5. Select 'Raw Data' from the list on the left. This will open the Download utility
and the Download main window appears. The left pane is the source
directory (currently blank) and the right pane is the currently selected
destination directory.
6. From the File menu, select 'Connect' - 'Receiver' - 'PC Drive'
7. From the left pane of the Download main window, select the drive letter of the
connected SD card reader port.
8. Download reads the contents of the SD card (this may take 1-2 minutes) and
then displays the list of session files on the SD card.
9. In the right pane of the Download main window, change the destination
directory to either the project directory or the directory where you want the
data files to be stored.
10. Select the desired session data file(s) from the SD card pane that you want to
download and drag them to the PC pane.
11. The selected files will be downloaded and converted into individual data files
and placed in the selected destination directory. A progress dialog box
