Position-dependent Safe Speed (PDSS)

The function
monitors the speed of a drive as a function of of the absolute position along a motion
range.
allows for the utilisation of a physically limited motion range without the use of mechani-
cal buffers and limit switches.
can be parameterised as permanently active.
NOTICE
If the slip compensation is used, the diagnostic marks must be overtravelled cyclically.
Machine parts and parts of the facility may be destroyed if the slip compensation described is
not taken into consideration for the respective application.
▶ Check the slip compensation for the respective application.
▶ Ensure a diagnostic interval test by a higher-level control component.
