The Torque C onverter s h o u ld n o t be replaced If:
• The fluid has an odor, discoloration or no
evidence of metal or clutch plate material.
A. Drain out as much fluid as possible.
B. Replace the oil filter and pan gasket.
C. Fill to proper level (Refer to Section 7A).
• The converter bolt hole threads are damaged.
- Correct with thread insert (Refer to Section
6A).

B Install or Connect
1. Torque converter.
2. J 21366 converter holding strap.
3. Remove transmission from holding fixture.
