Hold the center screw w ith a w rench. Tighten the hex
portion o f the installer J 3 3 0 1 3 -B body to press the hub
onto the shaft. Tighten the body several turns, rem ove
the installer and check to see that the shaft key is still in
place in the keyw ay before installing the clutch plate and
hub assem bly to its final position. The air gap betw een
frictional surfaces o f the clutch plate and clutch rotor
should be 0.50-.076m m (0 .2 0 -.0 3 0 ").
If the center screw is threaded fully onto the end o f
the com pressor shaft, or if the body o f the installer
is held and the center screw is rotated, the key will
assume the position as show n in Figure 6 and will
break the clutch hub.

positioning o f the shaft key (even or slightly above the
clutch hub). Install the shaft nut. H old the clutch plate
and hub assem bly w ith clutch hub holding tool
J 33027-A and using shaft nut socket J 33022, tighten the
nut against the crankshaft shoulder to 16.5 N*m (12
lbs.ft.) torque, using a 17.5 N*m (12.5 lbs.ft.) torque
wrench.
Spin the pulley rotor by hand to see that the rotor is not
rubbing the clutch drive plate.
Remove or Disconnect
Remove the clutch plate and hub assem bly as described
previously.
Rem ove rotor and bearing assem bly retaining ring, using
snap ring pliers J 6083 (Fig. 8).
