6.3 Communication via PROFINET
The Control Unit provides the following functions:
• IRT without isochronous mode
• MRP
• MRPD
• Diagnostic alarms
• Device replacement without
removable data storage medium
The Control Units have two RJ45 sockets that you can use to implement a line topology. You
can implement all topologies by using switches.

What do you need for communication via PROFINET?

Check the communication settings using the following table. If you answer "Yes" to the
questions, you have correctly set the communication settings and can control the inverter via
the fieldbus.

Is the inverter correctly connected to the
PROFINET?
Do the IP address and device name in the invert-
er and controller match?
Is the same telegram set in the inverter as in the
higher-level controller?
Are the signals that the inverter and the controller
exchange via PROFINET correctly interconnect-
ed?
