16-2-12. Minimum Slope Detection Value / Slope Detection Interval A /

Slope Detection Interval B / Preliminary Slope Detection Point

This is displayed only when Inflection Point Hold is selected in Hold Setting to set the
inflection point detection parameters.
However, most waveforms can normally be handled at factory-shipped settings. Set
referring to the following principles of operation only in cases where holding is
unsuccessful or finer adjustments are needed. Inflection points are detected based on the
following principles. Each setting item is explained below by taking Inflection Point
Hold A, for example. For Inflection Point Hold B, C and D, see "10-3-9. Four Types of
Inflection Point Hold" P57.
Minimum Slope Detection Value
Setting range: 1 ~ 9999 (Not including the decimal point.)
Slope Detection Interval A / Slope Detection Interval B
Setting range: 10 ~ 200
Preliminary Slope Detection Point
Setting range: 0 ~ 10
MODE → Code Set → Basic: Hold Set → Minimum Slope /
Slope change point
Value to be held as an inflection point when
the preliminary slope detection point is "0".
Actual inflection point
E: Hold Point when the preliminary slope detection point is "1"
F: Hold Point when the preliminary slope detection point is "2"
G: Hold Point when the preliminary slope detection point is "3"
The unit of Slope Detection Interval and Preliminary Slope Detection Point is one-time
sampling time. For details, see "7-2. Sampling Rate" P40.

Assuming that D is the value obtained by
subtracting the amount of change C of the
indicated value in "Slope Detection
Interval A" from the amount of change of
D
the indicated value in "Slope Detection
Interval B", point a is held as an inflection

point when the amount of change D

Detection Value". Normally, A=B.
On the contrary, if the slope is steep in a
short period of time, a value larger than
the actual inflection point may be held
depending on the sampling rate setting. In
this case, a value close to the actual
inflection point can be detected by holding
the part the change of which is relatively
gentle with "Preliminary Slope Detection
Point". (For Inflection Point C and D,
