Step 3 Run:
interface vlanif vlan-id
The VLANIF interface view is displayed.
Step 4 Run:
ipv6 enable
You can enable the IPv6 capability.
Step 5 Run:
ipv6 nd ra hop-limit limit
ND hop limit is configured.
The value of limit ranges from 0 to 255. By default, it is 64.
Step 6 Run:
ipv6 nd ra router-lifetime ra-lifetime
The life duration of RA messages is configured.
Step 7 Run:
ipv6 nd dad attempts value
Times to send DAD messages are configured.
Step 8 Run:
ipv6 nd ns retrans-timer interval
The interval for re-sending NS messages is set.
Step 9 Run:
ipv6 nd nud reachable-time value
The NUD reachable time is set.
Step 10 Run:
ipv6 mtu mtu
MTU of the interface is configured.

NOTE
l If the ipv6 nd ra hop-limit command has been run on an interface, the hop limit for an RA message
uses the value configured on the interface.
l If the ipv6 nd ra hop-limit command has not been run on an interface, the hop limit for an RA message
uses the value configured globally, that is, the value configured in the ipv6 nd hop-limit command.
NOTE
l When the ipv6 nd ra command is run to set the interval for advertising RA messages, the interval must
be less than or equal to the life duration.
l By default, the maximum interval is 600 seconds, and the minimum interval is 200 seconds.
l By default, the life duration of RA messages is 1800 seconds. If the prefix is configured, the duration
is still 1800 seconds.
