CLEAR

erase flash-file-name

This command erases the specified file.
syntax:
flash-file-name <file name>
parameter
file name
example:
SR/erase> erase flash-file-name test.cfg
applies to:
All modules
erase startup-config
This command clears the contents of a system configuration file (.CFG).
The file name (but not the configuration) will remain in memory after executing this command.
parameter

syntax:
cfg_file file name < name >
example:
SR/clear> cfg_file system.cfg
The above example clears the contents of the system.cfg file. To verify that you have cleared
the configuration file, use the show configuration stored or the show flash command.
The following screen shows the contents of system.cfg prior to clearing the file.
