Note:
This command does not support the specifying of port ranges. Enter this command on a
port-by-port basis.

applies to:
E1 module, serial modules that support v.35 or x.21
configure module e1 enable
This command places an E1 link in service and allows the link to transmit and receive data.
To take an E1 link out of service, type no enable at the configure/module/e1> prompt. This
action sends an all-ones Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) to the far end and places the link out of
service.
To verify the in-service or out-of-service status of an E1 channel, use the show module
configuration e1 command.
