Configuring Inverse Multiplexing for ATM

The Inverse Multiplexing for ATM (IMA) feature enables multiple T1 or E1 lines to be grouped into a
single high-speed ATM port. The advantage of the IMA feature is that you do not need T3/E3 circuits to
support high bandwidth on your switch. On Cisco MGX 8850 (PXM1E) and Cisco MGX 8830 switches,
Cisco MGX 8850 (PXM1E/PXM45), Cisco MGX 8950, Cisco MGX 8830, and Cisco MGX 8880 Configuration Guide
